       The United Methodist Men will meet in the FLC on Wednesday, May 9th, 2012, with breakfast served at 7 a.m. Don’t miss the wonderful breakfasts, good fellowship, and interesting speakers coming up. 

 

  Seventeen men attended the April meeting and enjoyed a pancake breakfast prepared by A. E. Chionsini.  Ed Brown led our Bible Study and used the Book of Judges and Deborah’s teachings as it related to battles and military type passages.  He also brought a personal Operations Map detailing the Strategic Battle Plan of the various NATO Forces involved in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm during 1990-91, and pointed out the similarities of the military battles and equipment from these two eras in history. 

 

  Kenneth Vornsand discussed details regarding the planned UMM Community Fish Fry fund raiser that will be targeted for June or July.  He suggested those with lake access should start catching and freezing fish now! 

 

  Jim Stroike asked for volunteers for the upcoming work day scheduled for the Youth Building on the following Saturday.  —Doug Hall
