YOUTH
C.I.A.
(Christians in Action)
Sue Pope, Chair of the Youth Council, is looking for volunteers to supply refreshments for the Youth for their Wednesday meetings at 4:30 p.m. She also invites members of the Congregation to get involved as chaperones for the various Youth activities.
As you can see,
the Youth Group has been busy for the past few months and will continue to be so
over the summer! This is wonderful and the kids are having a blast, but in order
for us to do things, we need ADULT CHAPERONES, especially for overnight trips.
Safe Sanctuary
policy requires 2 adults with children at all times. This protects the
child and the adult from any inappropriate actions or accusations. When we
go to camp or on a mission trip 2 male chaperones are needed to stay with the
guys and 2 female chaperones for the girls. In order to be a chaperone,
you must be at least 18 years old and willing to take the Safe Sanctuary course.
Safe Sanctuary
is quick and painless. It takes at most an hour of your time and is very
straightforward. In order for this program to keep growing and being active in
doing things, we need volunteers, especially men.
Chaperoning can
be a lot of fun, the kids are great and really appreciate a chaperone that
participates in their fun. WE NEED YOU!
